Scholarship Award

General Information

PURPOSE

To provide incentive for members, family and friends of members with a desire to receive or expand their education thereby increasing the community value of the Toledo Transportation Club.

HOW TO APPLY

• Submit a completed scholarship fund and required documents to be received no later than  April 24, 2009 by mail, email or fax to:

• Application must be accompanied by:
1. Letter of recommendation from an ACTIVE TTC member
2. 500 word Essay describing goals and interests
3. Transcript of grades from high school and/or college

BASIS OF SELECTION

• Scholarships will be awarded based on a point value system which takes into consideration the following criteria
1. Scholastic aptitude
2. Active member, family member or friend of active member
3. Essay
4. Extra curricular activities in the past two years (community involvement, clubs, sports, work)

All applicants will be notified of the decision of the Scholarship Committee; it is requested that recipients of the scholarship or their representative attend the Annual Election Dinner in May at which time the awards will be presented.
